A day in the life 12/365

Tuesday, June 9th 2009. Today was my second day as A first hand, and I had a lot more to do today. It was like yesterday was just a test run. The picture on the right is my table, its my very own. You can see all the patterns from the cutter/draper that I have ready to be cut out, and you can see I was working on some Muslin mock ups. I even have my very own step up! I'm a bit short to reach across the table so I need it lol. The pic on the left is not a dress or costume, it's the cover for the padding we use to build up dress forms. I loved the fabric so I caught a quick shot. The White fabric on side of each from is how ever a mock up for the other show,I'm working on Pericles. The other being Twelfth Night. My day how ever was again filled with cutting out more garments so that the stitchers have work on Monday.

Song of the Day comes from Feist- Leisure Suite
" We Build fires to stoke them
Let’s fix what’s been broken
Words have been stolen
But silence is golden
In my leisure suite
Just a place to meet
We can press repeat
And do what we do when we’re there
Don't come knocking
This doors for locking
Have you got the key"

even the dress forms were made, of course, of liberty prints.

in the background you can get a sense of the cool architecture of the tudor-style building. it's really a neat place to visit, even if you somehow escape without spending a wad of cash.
